Wish I paid more attention to the Heating plus A/C system at new rental

Living in a major city, it can be severely difficult to find satisfactory housing that you can afford.

The rental rates in this city are nothing to sneeze at.

If you are living alone, you don’t have numerous options besides living in a tiny home in a dangerous part of town. Everything else is just too high-priced to viably afford on a normal person’s budget. That’s why, when I saw my dream house go on the market at an affordable rate in an incredible town, I jumped at the opening to live there. I signed the lease without paying enough attention to all of the details. Now, I am genuinely regretting that part of my decision as the outdoor air temperature slowly climbs plus Summer sets in. When I was looking for a home, it was the middle of winter. I didn’t worry about the air conditioner in my new house whatsoever, because I was too sad about staying warm. Now, the outdoor air temperature is steeply changing day after day, plus the air quality is rapidly becoming humid day in plus day out. It’s at the point where my friend and I need to run our central air conditioner constantly, however unfortunately, it turns out that our central AC system is at least 15 years outdated in this rental. My room never actually gets cool enough, plus the AC equipment is already running nonstop. I tried reaching out to the landlord, however he will not return my iPhone calls about the cooling system. I am terrified to see what our energy bill is going to be like, plus I am not excited for the prospect of a hot plus humid summer.
